Cryogenic freezing, while highly effective for long-term preservation, has several disadvantages. One major drawback is the high cost associated with the equipment, maintenance, and the continuous supply of liquid nitrogen or other cryogenic coolants. In theory, cryogenic freezing can last indefinitely as long as the storage conditions are maintained at extremely low temperatures, meaning a cryogenically frozen body could remain preserved for potentially centuries or even longer, to revive it when future technology allows for it; however, currently, there is no proven method to successfully revive a cryogenically frozen human, and the practice remains highly controversial due to the lack of scientific evidence.
